Houston, TX—Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07); Mini Timmaraju, President and CEO of Reproductive Freedom For All; Drucilla Tigner, Co-Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Texas Votes; Houston OB/GYN Dr. Todd Ivey, M.D.; Houston OB/GYN Dr. Damla Karsan, M.D.; Community Health Worker Paula Saldaña; and Reproductive Rights Activist Olivia Julianna decried the deaths of pregnant Texas women, including Josseli Barnica in Houston, after doctors delayed emergency care as a result of Texas Senate Bill 8.  State Representative Gene Wu, State Representative Ron Reynolds, Houston Council Member Abbie Kamin, Southside Place Mayor Andy Chan, and other Houston OB/GYNs also joined the speakers in support of the Texas women who have lost their lives and in opposition to Texas’ extreme laws. 
Houston, TX – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher to represent Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, and also announced that it is awarding her the Advocate for American Business Award. The Chamber endorses pro-business candidates for federal office who will vigorously support public policy that will advance economic growth, support jobs, and promote fiscal responsibility. The Advocate for American Business Award, formerly known as the Spirit of Enterprise Award, is awarded to candidates who support pro-growth, pro-business policies and bipartisanship.
Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) released her first television ad of the election cycle, “Freedom.” The 30-second spot will run on Houston cable and broadcast stations through election day as part of a six-figure buy. It is a call to action to voters on a critical issue facing all Texans: the rollback of Texans’ rights and freedoms, including access to abortion.
