Houston, TX – This weekend, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) filed for re-election to Congress in 2024 with the support and endorsement of leaders throughout the greater Houston area she represents as well as national organizations.  

“I am honored and proud to represent Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, and I am excited to put my name on the ballot to serve another term in the House of Representatives,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher.  “In 2018, we built a broad and diverse coalition together to bring a little more Houston to Washington, D.C.  As the first Democrat in more than 50 years, and the first woman ever, to represent Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, I am proud to work with partners across our cities, counties, state, and country to make meaningful progress and to protect our democracy.  I am honored to have the support of so many of these community leaders and organizations as I seek to continue this work.  I will continue to bring people together to do the critical work ahead to defend our democracy, ensure equality, and restore our rights, all of which are on the ballot in 2024.”
