Houston, TX–This Saturday, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) filed her paperwork for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives for Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, with the support and endorsement of leaders throughout the greater Houston area she represents.
“I am so honored and so proud to represent Texas’ Seventh Congressional District,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. “This district represents the best of our community and our country–a welcoming, inclusive, innovative, and collaborative place where no idea is too small and no challenge is too big. It was my knowledge of and faith in these community values that inspired my first campaign for Congress in 2018 and that continue to guide my decision to seek re-election.
“Once again, we are facing challenging and uncertain times for our community and our country,” continued Congresswoman Fletcher. “This Congress has failed to do the serious and hard work of governing–deferring to the White House time and again, refusing to do the work the people of this country need and deserve to make life more affordable and the American dream more achievable, and failing to defend the very principles and protections in our Constitution.
“Now more than ever we need to send to Congress leaders who are committed to doing the work we need and protecting the values we share as Americans,” concluded Congresswoman Fletcher. “I am honored to have the support and partnership of so many community leaders and organizations in this work. I will continue to bring people together to do the important work ahead to defend our democracy, ensure equality, and restore our rights, all of which are on the ballot in 2026.”
Congresswoman Fletcher has already received endorsements for the 2026 election from the following elected officials who represent people in and around the Seventh Congressional District:
